Narrative conventions in Print texts:

Example: The PURGE: Anarchy film poster The main image that appears on this print text immediately create confusion in the audience's minds as the character shown seem scary and even more terrifying as they are wearing odd masks to hide their identity. Iconography is also used as the main characters use masks, allowing the audience to believe that something bad is probably going to happen in the movie as hiding often link to mystery. They also got fire and knives surrounding them, which means that killing and blood are probably the two key factors in this thriller.  The tag line also intrigues the audience as it talks about having a night where all crime are legal, which means that any sort of crime would be allowed which might allow the audience to prepare themselves to see some outrageous acting throughout the movie.
